E-mail links
There is one more type of link you may find very useful. Have you ever clicked on a link before and your computer's e-mail server popped open? You can make an e-mail address a link on a website too. Here's how that works:
- <a href="mailto:sciencepageoffun@yahoo.com"> E-mail me! </a>
The only differences between a mail link and a normal link are the mailto: part and the e-mail address. Here is that in action:
Code |
---|
<a href="mailto:sciencepageoffun@yahoo.com"> Send Me Mail </a> |
| |
There is a problem with this e-mail link though. It won't work on public computers, such as school and library computers. It will only work if there is a default e-mail setting on the computer. It's recommended then to not only make the link connect to your e-mail, but to have your address written out somewhere. Sadly, this usually means you'll get a lot of junk e-mail. Alas.
