Just a note:

Once upon a time, people figured out that by adding meta tags, they could have more search engines list them, and the more they are listed, the higher they move up in rankings, so they get listed further up the page. This started out as a good thing.

At first, people thought that meta tags would solve everything. They could sell products, invite people to their pages, do great things and rescue burning kittens, all through meta tags. This didn't happen.

Evil people came along and started adding a bunch of keywords into their meta tags that had nothing to do with their topic. That's why you can innocently be looking up paperclips online and run into sites blocked by school computers. People figured out how to corrupt te system.

After this, some search engines figured out how to index pages without relying on keywords. This was a sad day for all those who put keywords into their documents. Many search engines still use keywords, but others don't.

Some search engines are known as spiders, 'cause they crawl along the web, seeking for info. There are also robots who search for info on the web too. If you want your page listed, some of these will still respond to keywords. If you don't want a page listed, you can use this tag:
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX">
Short note: choose carefully what your keywords are. Don't abuse the privilege. Be cautious when searching too.
